Whether it’s trekking through history to the very heart of China’s ancient culture, or summiting Mount Kilimanjaro—the highest freestanding mountain in the world, to tackling the iconic Kokoda Trail, Inspired Adventure’s has a trekking challenge to fascinate and inspire everyone.

On our incredible trekking adventures, where you can be trekking up to 20km a day, not only will you get the chance to explore and immerse yourself in vibrant and captivating cultures, you’ll also be raising the funds to support a cause close to your heart.

By taking on an Inspired Adventure’s trekking challenge, you will be getting fit and healthy, testing yourself both physically and mentally, discovering new countries and cultures all whilst doing ‘dharma’ – doing ‘good work.’

Can I do this?

Yes, you can! Fundraising and fitness training may sound intimidating, but we’re here to get you across the finish line. We’ll call you regularly with advice, ideas and encouragement—you are not in this alone.

Remember, you are raising money for a wonderful cause and training for the challenge of a lifetime!

How much do I need to fundraise and how do I do it?

The fundraising target is different per adventure and is decided on by the charity, generally it’s between $3,000 and $5,000 per person. You are not alone, you will also have regular support from the Inspired team, who will help you develop and manage your fundraising plan and call you every 3 weeks to keep on track. You’ll also have support from the Charity.

Past participants have successfully fundraised in many creative and fun ways. We will send you a comprehensive Fundraising Toolkit upon registration full of ideas to help you reach your target.

How fit do I need to be?

Our treks range in difficulty from 2/5 (easy) to 5/5 (challenging). 

While no trekking experience is required prior to registration, our adventures are specifically designed for people who are relatively fit and willing to train. Our treks are a physical challenge and the better prepared you are, the more you will enjoy the experience.

We recommend that in the months leading up to your adventure, you increase your physical fitness with aerobic exercise. Walking, running and stair climbing will all strengthen your legs and improve stamina.
