ABOUT RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE CHARITIES

Ronald McDonald House Charities keeps families together by providing a home away from home for regional families who have a sick child receiving hospital treatment in the city.

The Houses provide a supportive and caring environment to ease day-to-day burdens, stress and financial worries, so families can focus on the needs of their child. Families are provided with full bed and bath linen, private bedrooms of varying sizes, shared kitchen, dining and lounge areas, laundry, play rooms, computer access and outdoor areas. Families can cook their own meals and do their own laundry in order to keep life as normal as possible. They are also welcome to enjoy a fresh, healthy meal cooked by community and corporate volunteers.

The Houses are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. There are 16 houses nationwide and on any given night, there are over 400 families staying at a Ronald McDonald House in Australia.
