This exhilarating Indian adventure starts with a train ride from Delhi to Kota, rolling past scenes of rural Indian country life. You’ll then set out on a bicycle journey from Bundi, a captivating little town that has retained much of its medieval character.

Over the next five days you’ll cross an area of remarkable natural diversity in and around Ranthambore National Park.

You’ll be challenged with stretches of off-road riding and steep ascents and descents but rewarded by seeing the wild, beating heart of India that most travellers miss. You’ll follow the Aravali mountain range past tribal villages, fascinating temples, dense forest, sandy deserts and views of dramatic ruined forts. If you’re lucky, you’ll spot deer, peacocks, antelope, even tigers in their natural, stunning habitat.

With your cycle challenge complete, you’ll have the special opportunity to visit a sloth bear sanctuary to volunteer with the centre’s staff and learn more about these beautiful animals. Finally, no trip to India is complete without a visit to its most famous landmark, the majestic Taj Mahal. You’ll spend an early morning there watching the sunrise, slowly illuminating the iconic minarets – a great opportunity to reflect on all you’ve seen and experienced on this extraordinary Indian adventure.
