The Alps2Ocean challenge is regarded as one of New Zealand’s most stunning cycling trails. Listed as the longest of New Zealand’s 22 “Great Rides” it is a truly epic ride!

If you’re thinking of taking on a once in a lifetime adventure in 2022 while exploring some of the best sights and scenery Aotearoa has to offer then this challenge is for you.

On this incredible adventure you’ll see the Southern Alps in all their glory as you cycle through alpine settlements and down to the coast. Whether you’re a lover of mountains, open green space or natural wonders like glaciers and lakes, you’ll see it all.

Starting at the foot of the country’s highest mountain, you’ll cycle through 300km of beautiful scenery, finishing on the coast in Oamaru. The views on this trip really are spectacular, and make all that exercise feel easy! Plus, you’ll enjoy quiet country roads as you cycle and a lot of downhill tracks that go easy on the legs. E-bikes are an option too making this challenge suitable for all fitness levels. Are you in?

If COVID-19 travel bans mean your Inspired Adventure cannot go ahead as scheduled, we will endeavour to reschedule the departure to a later date to allow you still to travel as planned.
