Join our Deputy Chair Michael Happell in the Aussie outback

Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA) is thrilled to have Michael Happell lead the inaugural BCNA CEO Outback Challenge in 2018.

As we celebrate our 20th anniversary, we are inviting CEOs from across the country to join Michael in the outback to trek in support of Australians affected by breast cancer.

Michael recently retired as PwC Australia Chairman after 24 years as a partner. He also served as a director on the PwC Global Board for four years. His current directorships include Deputy Chair of BCNA, Vice President of the Melbourne Cricket Club, Chairman of Supra Capital Pty Ltd, Chair of The National Sports Museum, and Director of MyProsperity Pty Ltd and Arctic Intelligence Pty Ltd. Michael is a sport and fitness enthusiast and an active tennis player and skier.

Unfortunately, breast cancer affects most Australians at some stage in life and Michael is no exception – his wife is a breast cancer survivor. Michael is looking forward to trekking and spending time with senior business executives that share his passion for BCNA’s work in ensuring a better journey for Australians affected by breast cancer.

Your impact on the CEO Outback Challenge will be immense. Not only will you raise awareness for BCNA during its 20th year, you will be changing the lives of many Australians with every dollar raised.

• $1,000 can fund a health professional on the Helpline for a week

• $2,750 will allow us to provide 50 Australians (the number who are diagnosed each day) with a My Journey Kit

• $20,000 can facilitate a rural or regional information forum and allow those affected by breast cancer to attend free-of-charge

To have a group of 18 executives band together for a cause close to so many Australian hearts is a rare opportunity. The challenge will present many positive outcomes for you, as well as for BCNA.

With statistics rising every single year, BCNA will continue to ensure no Australian faces their breast cancer alone. With your help, we can continue to be here for a further 20 years and more!
