Come with us on this adventure to Tasmania and be part of a team making an incredible difference to the lives of children living in poverty around the world. On this 7-day adventure, you’ll be challenged to trek the world’s second largest temperate rainforest and explore one of Australia’s greatest natural wonders.
As you make your way through the Tarkine and its spectacular surrounds, you’ll be challenged by the eclectic array of landscapes; vast expanses of thick rainforest and tumbling waterfalls disperse into panoramic mountains, open ocean and rugged coastline. Witness an abundance of flora and fauna found nowhere else in the world, including the famous Tasmanian devil and over 100 species of bird life. Learn about the region’s spiritual significance, home to the Tasmanian Aboriginal tarkiner people for over 40,000 years. You’ll no doubt be left in awe by the existence of this ancient wilderness, right here in your backyard in Australia.
This adventure offers a once-in-a lifetime chance for you to explore one of Australia’s greatest natural wonders, while supporting ChildFund Australia to create lasting change for children living in poverty.
By joining this adventure, you’ll be supporting ChildFund Australia as they empower children in developing communities around the world. All of the funds raised from this challenge will go towards ChildFund’s global appeal to support children and their families who have been left most vulnerable during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Your hard-earned fundraising efforts will be invested in various initiatives dedicated to minimising the impact the pandemic will have on children who are already living in poverty. The funds you raise will go where they will have the greatest impact to ensure no child, regardless of their birthplace, is left behind.
For instance:
• $70 could purchase ALL food essentials to feed a family for 2 months.
• $140 could purchase 100kg of pulses (e.g. beans); a month’s supply for 10 families.
• $300 could purchase ALL the food essentials to feed 8 families for a month.
