Join the Climb for HOPE today!

Our police officers too often struggle with PTSD and lack of mental health support following careers serving their community. Show them we’ve got their back by joining the Climb for Blue HOPE and take on a truly once-in-a-lifetime challenge. .

The Climb for HOPE isn’t your ordinary fundraiser. Standing at the foot of Kilimanjaro, in the African savanna, you’ll look up and know this is something entirely different, and truly special. But, as they say, from big challenge comes big reward. .

You’ll be expertly guided and accompanied by a full support crew for nine days, trekking up from farmland, through rainforest, alpine meadow, and across a lunar-like landscape finally reaching the summit. From there you’ll look out at the stunning sight of the sun rising over the East African plains below. Just imagine the sense of accomplishment you’ll have in that moment.

To climb Mount Kilimanjaro is a feat of physical and mental stamina, but you don’t need to be an expert climber. In fact, there’s no technical climbing at all. We’ve taken men and women from 18 to 70 to its summit, many of them first time trekkers. We think it’s the knowledge of the difference you’ve made and the team around you that pushes you up those last few hundred meters.

Blue HOPE is like no other organisation. They are tailored specifically to current and former police and provide an alternative source of support for officers and their families. Founded and staffed by volunteer current and former police officers, they know that police are often reluctant to turn to internal supports for a variety of reasons. Blue HOPE aims to fill that void, offering anonymous, professional and personal support, all coordinated from men and women who bleed blue.

The funds you raise on the Climb for HOPE will help Blue HOPE to expand the following programs nationally, all with an aim to supporting members of the police community who are struggling with PTSD and mental illness following trauma on the job.
