How will you celebrate International Women’s Day? Join the Cycle for Girls and you’ll have the incredible opportunity to visit a Plan International project in Cambodia. Take on the adventure-of-a-lifetime and help us empower girls to change the world.

On this 11-day Cambodian cycling adventure, fill your senses with the sights, sounds and smells of Southeast Asia. Walk the tree-lined boulevards of Siem Reap and discover the magnificent Angkor Temple Complex, before cycling beyond the city limits into the unfolding countryside: through rice paddies, sugar-palm plantations and small villages. Spend half a day discovering the secrets to traditional Cambodian cuisine and learn more about the remarkable history of the Khmer people.

You will also have the very special opportunity to visit one of Plan International’s projects, the Learning Gardens in Siem Reap where children learn about nutrition and basic kitchen garden practices. It’s bound to be an unforgettable experience.

The adventure concludes in Phnom Penh, Cambodia’s bustling capital. Here you will have free time to explore the contrasts of ancient and modern, and learn more about the confronting history of this beguiling country. You’ll farewell Cambodia and celebrate the team’s success with a final dinner at Romdeng, a vocational training restaurant serving up delicious Khmer food for a cause.

We want a future where all girls are empowered to change the world.

We know that when you educate and empower girls, the whole world benefits. When girls are healthy, educated and earning they lift themselves, their children and their communities out of poverty.

Yet every day, girls are denied their rights – that’s why girls are a major focus of Plan International’s work. They often can’t go to school, earn a living and are at greater risk of violence in their communities.

Join the movement. Money raised for Girls Fund helps unleash the incredible potential of girls.

  • $30 can provide a girl with a whole year’s supply of sanitary pads in Uganda. She can avoid infections and go to school when she has her period..
  • $70 can give a young woman a small grant to help kick start her own food business. The grant can cover cooking and business skills, food items and training on good nutrition.
  • $120 can provide 10 training sessions to give a young girl the confidence to have a say in important life decisions that affect her. The training will also help give her the skills to be a leader in her community.
  • $900 can support a young rural woman to gain vital job training away from home for three months. Your support will give them a safe place to live and healthy food close to the training centre.
