The Cape to Cape Walk Track traverses the south-west corner of Western Australia, 250 kilometres south of Perth, along the Leeuwin-Naturaliste Ridge between Cape Naturaliste and Cape Leeuwin.

As part of this epic three-day adventure from north to south, you’ll trek through ancient karri forest, across white sand beaches, beside sheer cliffs and into coastal hamlets. Starting at Cape Naturaliste, you’ll trek along towering limestone cliffs past Sugarloaf Rock to Yallingup. From here, you’ll wander over sand dunes along the coast to the famed Ellensbrook homestead and Meekadarabee Falls, before entering the isolated coves of Gnoocardup Beach and the turquoise bay of Kilcarnup. From the surfing paradise of Prevelly to Redgate Beach, and into the Boranup Forest, you’ll experience the unique majesty of the rugged and beautiful West Australian coast with a group of like-minded people committed to creating change for the over 830,000 Endo Warriors in Australia with endometriosis.

One in nine women, girls and those assigned female at birth have endometriosis – that’s over 830,000 Australians.

Endometriosis costs the Australian economy $9.7 billion every year. Women with endometriosis, on average, endure 6.5 years of pain before diagnosis and often have difficulty becoming pregnant.

Seven out of 10 women with endometriosis take unpaid leave to manage their symptoms, one in three have missed promotions and one in six have lost their job because of their diagnosis.

It’s time to end endo – but Endometriosis Australia needs your support.

The funds you raise as part of Trek for Endo Cape to Cape 2022 will:

— Support vital awareness campaigns about the signs and symptoms of endometriosis

— Improve education for patients, families and health professionals

— Fund ground-breaking research for treatment and, ultimately, a cure

Endometriosis Australia receives no government funding. It’s only with the support of dedicated people – like you – that they can continue their work.

If you know nine women, you know endometriosis. Register today and show your support.

How challenging is this adventure?

This adventure is ranked 3/5. While no extensive trekking experience is required prior to registering, our adventures are specifically designed for people who are relatively fit and willing to train. The Cape to Cape trek is a physical challenge, and the fitter you are, the more you will enjoy the experience.

Much of the trekking will be on soft sand, but other sections will be on rocky headlands.

You will be well supported on the adventure, with the guides and your team all cheering you on. You’re free to move at your own pace and we’ll take frequent breaks.

How do I fundraise?

Never fundraised before? Not sure where to start? No worries, we don’t expect you to do it alone. You will have regular support from the Inspired Adventures fundraising team, who will help you make a fundraising plan to meet your target. Alongside personalised coaching, we will also send you lots of ideas and resources on how to fundraise. From online fundraising to trivia nights, to bake sales and out-of-the-box ideas, we have years and years of tried and tested tips to make your fundraising a success.

Who will I be travelling with?

We believe small group travel is better for the planet, and better for you. Our adventures usually have 10 – 20 people aged from 18 to 90+ (younger ages considered on request). You can be sure that you have all come together with the shared purpose of making a difference to others and having the adventure of a lifetime.

The group will be led by a local tour guide with expert knowledge of the region. Many groups will also be accompanied by an Inspired Adventures team leader or doctor to support and motivate the team.

Where applicable, a charity representative may also join the team. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about your chosen charity and their work.

We understand the dilemma of making travel plans when the world feels unpredictable right now. You can still register for an Inspired Adventure in complete confidence, because we promise to look after you should COVID-19 travel bans affect your plans.

If COVID-19 travel bans mean your Inspired Adventure cannot go ahead as scheduled, we will endeavour to reschedule the departure to a later date to allow you still to travel as planned.

Inspired Adventures requires that all travellers are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as described in government guidelines and ground operator requirements.

For more information please refer to the COVID-19 hub on our website.
