Over 830,000 – or one in nine – women, girls and those assigned female at birth are affected by endometriosis. It can take, on average, 6.5 years for a diagnosis to be made, and more than a third of women who have it also have trouble falling pregnant.
When you sign up to take on the Endometriosis Australia Scenic Rim Trek 2022 challenge and raise $2,500, you’ll be supporting Endo Warriors access treatment options tailored to their needs. The funds you raise help Endometriosis Australia with awareness, education and research projects for this disease which has no cure.
For three days, you’ll explore the extraordinary rainforests of the Scenic Rim, get up close to the flora and fauna, and marvel at jaw-dropping views. Hiking here is like being part of another world. In fact, you almost are: the rugged and remote mountains of Main Range National Park are part of the Gondwana Rainforests of Australia UNESCO World Heritage Area.
What are you waiting for? Sign up today, go on an adventure you’ll never forget and raise money for Endometriosis Australia to create awareness campaigns, increase education for patients, families and health professionals, and invest in research programs to find improved diagnosis and treatment options. It’s time to end the silence on endo.
You’ll be supporting Endometriosis Australia, an organisation that receives no government funding, and is supporting over 830,000 women, girls and those assigned female at birth with this disease.
Endometriosis can negatively affect a person’s life through pain and management of chronic illness, it can also have long lasting impacts on mental health and wellbeing, intimate relationships, employment, and education.
Funds are invested in raising awareness, providing educational tools, and investing in research grants to assist with diagnosis, treatment and, ultimately, a cure.
