Hike for Hospice is an extraordinary trekking adventure on the Great Wall of China that will raise funds to help Rotorua Community Hospice give patients and their families the gift of Hospice care.
On Hike for Hospice, you’ll spend 8 days travelling to the very heart of China’s ancient culture as you trek along the Great Wall, one of mankind’s most impressive architectural accomplishments. Over five days, you’ll trek some of the most spectacular sections of this world wonder, some parts reclaimed by the forest, others restored to their original magnificence. You’ll also get a chance to discover Beijing, and explore the modern contrasts of this bustling city.
You’ll have the adventure of a lifetime alongside a like-minded team of people all united by a sense of adventure and giving back.

Whilst free of charge to people using Rotorua Community Hospice services, it costs a lot to provide. As an essential health provider, Rotorua Community Hospice receives funding from Government but financial support from the community is essential to help meet the shortfall.
