Trek the spectacular surrounds of Cradle Mountain and help the National Breast Cancer Foundation work towards zero deaths from breast cancer by 2030

Cradle Mountain sits in the stunning Tasmania Wilderness World Heritage Area and is one of Australia’s premier trekking destinations. Rocky mountain peaks, buttongrass moorlands, glacial lakes, waterfalls and dense rainforest are hallmarks of this natural haven.

On this adventure, you’ll spend five-days trekking a variety of trails around the Cradle Mountain Village area. From easy shorter exploration walks to day-long hikes and steep climbs up to beautiful lookouts, everyday you’ll face a different challenge. You’ll discover the Tasmanian wilderness up close on this unforgettable adventure. Best of all, you’ll raise funds to support the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) on their mission towards zero deaths from breast cancer by 2030.

Research is the only way to improve how breast cancer is diagnosed, managed and treated. By funding only world-class research, NBCF is working towards a goal of zero deaths from breast cancer by 2030. It is a goal which would lead to a future without fear of breast cancer.

People just like you have joined Inspired Adventures all around the world trekking, cycling, and running to raise over $1 million to date for breast cancer research. When you join us in Tasmania, you’ll help change the future of a breast cancer diagnosis.

$100 Could help researchers develop a test that ‘reads’ the density of breast tissue to predict a person’s risk of developing breast cancer

$1,000 Could help researchers identify those parts of our DNA that are linked to higher breast cancer risk but not yet fully understood.

$3,000 Could support research into personalising breast screening to account for women who are low or high risk of breast cancer, to ensure routine screening has a higher impact on survival

$5,000 Could help researchers test a new breast cancer prevention drug in the lab so that those at high risk may have more options for avoiding breast cancer

$10,000 Can help fund research that is looking for other faulty breast cancer genes, beyond BRCA1 and BRCA2, so more women and men can know if they are at risk

NBCF’s goal is that by 2030, there will be zero deaths from breast cancer, a goal that would see more women and men living longer with breast cancer, and empower them with a greater quality of life.
