Join us on In Their Memory: Pink Elephants Larapinta 2021 to mark a loss, connect with our country’s most beautiful land and take part in symbolic healing experiences.

When you miscarry a pregnancy, there is no funeral and no way of saying goodbye. Remembering your baby in a significant way can be helpful and healing. Marking a loss can bring healing, comfort and connectedness as well as an opportunity to experience a depth of meaning around your loss.

On this symbolic adventure, you’ll trek through the Australian outback on one of the most spectacular walking tracks in the world—the Larapinta Trail.

As part of this 7-day adventure, you will stand on ancient escarpments and gaze out upon the ochre-coloured landscapes of Central Australia. You will follow Aboriginal Dreaming tracks and trek beside one of the world’s oldest river systems. By day, you will experience the diversity of desert habitats and visit sites sacred to the Western Arrernte people. At night, you will fall asleep to the sounds of native wildlife under a blanket of stars. By trekking along with us, you are validating that early pregnancy loss, and the lives lost, matter.

This adventure offers you the opportunity to experience the strength, resilience and values of one of the oldest living, continuous cultures of the world, and their spiritual relationship with the land.

Through this challenge, you’ll have the opportunity to meaningfully mark a loss, connect with our country’s most beautiful land and take part in symbolic healing experiences with a team of like-minded individuals.

The funds you raise on this adventure will go directly to enabling critical emotional support and care for families experiencing the trauma and heartbreak of early pregnancy loss.

Your gift of $25 can ensure access to immediate support via our Miscarriage Support Resources when it is most needed – at the time they are told they have lost their much-longed-for baby. Knowing what to expect and where to turn for additional support and reliable information can make all the difference during an incredibly traumatic time.

Your gift of $50 can ensure those experiencing the heartache, grief and isolation of loss can immediately access the support of a trained Peer Support Ambassador, and be connected to our online communities. These meaningful connections are vital to the emotional wellbeing of grieving parents to reduce their feelings of isolation and validate the profound sense of loss they are experiencing.

Your gift of $100 can ensure that as an organisation, Pink Elephants are able to reach more who need us, by expanding our core services to rural and remote areas.

Every step you take brings us closer to ensuring that no one walks the journey of early pregnancy loss alone.
