Dave first became involved with Inspired Adventures in 2011 when he participated in Rainforest Rescue’s Orang-utan Adventure Trek in Sumatra. Dave loved the adventure and the idea of making a contribution to a great cause. Since then Dave joined Inspired Adventures as a Team Leader and has led groups to the forests of Borneo, the top of Africa by climbing Mt Kilimanjaro, along the Inca trail in Peru and overlooked China from along the Great wall.
When Dave isn’t travelling he lives near Byron Bay on the NSW Far North Coast where he works as an ecologist. Dave has a Zoology degree and for the last 10 years Dave has run his own bush regeneration business, where he restores areas of native vegetation through tree planting and weed control projects. He also leads training and tours in various aspects of biodiversity conservation and sustainability.
