Born and bred in Berlin, Sandi was lucky enough to grow up with beautiful Europe as her backyard. However, she has always dreamt of reaching out further and finally, after finishing school, has made her dream come true by spending one year working in a ski resort and traveling through Canada. Having had the time of her life and thirsty for more, it was evident Sandi wanted to pursue a career in tourism. She went on to study Tourism Management in Germany and then followed her heart to Australia, which she now calls her second home.

She deeply cares about sustainable tourism, which in her eyes includes connecting with local people, understanding their culture while not interrupting, and protecting the local environment. Her favourite way of travelling is to stay with a local family on a farm, supporting them in what they do, learning from them and immersing in their way of life.

On her days off, you can find her bush walking, exploring Sydney’s café scene, visiting markets, cooking & eating delicious meals with her Aussie family & friends. Some of her travel highlights include paragliding in Canada, trekking in Connemara National Park in Ireland, surfing off the coast of Vancouver Island and volunteering on an organic farm nestled amongst the mountains of New Zealand’s South Island.

“The question's not why, it's why not.”
